How We Keep Information Secure
Information security is one of our highest priorities, as described in our internal employee Code of Conduct and this Policy.
- We limit access to personal information about you to those employees and agents who need to know the information to provide products and services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect personal information and we regularly review our security standards and procedures to protect against unauthorized access to personal information.
How We Collect Personal Information
We rely on many sources of information to understand and meet your needs. We collect personal information about you from:
- your applications or in other ways when you visit us in person, over the phone, through the mail or through our website;
- your transactions with any of the branches within South Carolina Community Bank;
- consumer reporting agencies; and
- other sources, in connection with providing you a financial product or service.
Information Sharing Outside South Carolina Commenity Bank
We may share any of the personal information that we collect about you with companies or other organizations outside of South Carolina Community Bank as permitted by law, including:
- Financial service providers, such as mortgage bankers and securties broker-dealers;
- Non-financial companies such as retailers, direct marketers, membership clubs and publishers; and
- Other companies and organizations, such as nonprofit organizations.
Other Information Sharing
We may also share personal information about you with other organizations outside of South Carolina Community Bank as required by or permitted by law. For example, we may share personal information to protect against fraud, respond to a subpoena or service your account. In addition, South Carolina Community Bank may work with companies or organizations outside of South Carolina Community Bank to provide services to South Carolina Community Bank or to provide you with opportunities to buy financial products or services offered by South Carolina Community Bank or jointly with other financial institutions. Consequently, as permitted by law, we may disclose any of the personal information that we collected about you to:
- other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements; and
- companies that perform services, including marketing services for us, or for us and the financial institutions which we have joint marketing agreements.

Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, we have a right to share information regarding our transactions or experiences with you. Unless you instruct otherwise, we also have the right to share any other information about you with our affiliates (persons related by common ownership or affiliated by corporate control, now or in the future) either directly or indirectly. This other information may include, but is not limited to, application information, credit reports from a consumer reporting agency, and any other information we have about you. If you do not want us to share this other information with our affiliates you may utilize the opt out methods set forth below.

Financial Products or Services to Which Your Opt Out Applies
If you elect to opt out of information sharing we will treat that opt out as applying to all financial products or services that you have obtained from us in the past or that you may obtain from us in the future.
Your Right to Opt Out of Information Sharing
If you prefer that we not disclose nonpublic personal information about you or information not solely related to transactions or experiences with you to our affiliated companies or nonafliliated third parties, you may opt out of those disclosures, that is you may direct us not to make those disclosures (other than disclosures permitted by law).
Each joint account holder may opt out separately or any one of you may opt out on behalf of all joint account holders.

To opt out of sharing information with our affiliated companies and/or nonaffiliated third parties, please complete and return the Notice of Intent to Opt Out to the following address: South Carolina Community Bank, 1545 Sumter St., P0 Box 425, Columbia, SC 29202.
If we do not receive notice of your intent to opt out of information sharing with our affiliated companies or nonaffiliated third parties within 30 days of delivery of this notice to you, we are authorized to disclose information about you to our affiliated companies or to nonaffiliated third parties, in accordance with our privacy policies and practices.
Notify Us of Inaccurate Information We Report To Consumer Reporting Agencies
